Is Photography Over?


SFMOMA invited 13 participants to participate in a symposium in a few weeks and to begin the discussion they asked them that question. The participants include Philip-Lorca diCorcia and Trevor Paglen. You can find all the initial responses here or attend the symposium April 22-23.

Downtown: TNT TONIGHT!!

Come downtown tonight from 7-10 to see some new exhibitions up at MOCA, including the work of UCSD professor/artist Mara De Luca, L.A. based artist Ruben Ochoa and a performance by Agitprop's Art Tap Out. Bring your dancing shoes as the music of Portland's YACHT will definitely have you up and moving.

Events Around Town

There will be several different events going on around town this week. Lauren Woods is talking tonight at the UCSD in the Visual Arts Performance Space at 6:30. A not to be missed panel discussion including Matthew Coolidge, Rebecca Solnit and Teddy Cruz will be at The Athenaeum in La Jolla on Thursday night at 7:30. You can find more info here. And earlier Thursday we will meet at MOPA. If you want to stick around on Thursday after we all meet at MOPA you can be a part of the March 4th strike and day of action which will meet at Balboa Park around 3pm. You can find that info here.
